Just after 10:30 PM, Sunday evening stations 22, 24, and 313 responded to a vehicle accident with injuries on I 76 eastbound. While units were responding, Pennsylvania State police advised that they had a large tree & debris blocking the highway and needed the units to come the wrong way. Rescue 22 arrived shortly after to find they had one patient heavily entrapped, bringing the vehicle rescue assignment. Engine 24–1 arrived moments later and immediately went in service with rescue 22s crew to rapidly extricate a critical patient. The patient was removed from the wreckage and turned over to Narberth Ambulance for transport to local trauma center. Units would remain on scene for over three hours, assisting with multiple more trees down, flash flooding, and assisting another ambulance stuck in backlog with a critical pediatric patient on board. Once available station 24s units responded to four more incidents throughout the morning. Our thoughts and prayers are with the families affected from last nights incidents.
