How Firefighters Cool Off During a Heatwave
Email Print RSS Facebook Twitter RSS

By Radio Room
August 10, 2016

As the Philadelphia area reached triple digit temperature, Gladwyne Firefighters trained on multiple skills even as the heat rose. Many junior members practiced with advancing hose line and throwing ladders - two major components that you can never train enough on. Volunteers familiarized themselves with Engine 24, which was placed back into service following it’s fire in November. Lastly, to beat the heat, members refreshed (literally) with Engine 24 deck gun flowing large amounts of water rapidly.
